Beijing – March 18; 2010. GreenTechFocus.com, the bilingual Mandarin-English trade portal of Focus Communication, promoting green technology exchange between China and Europe, participated as official media partner at the 2nd China International New Energy & Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Exhibition 2010 (CNEE).
The event is among the most influential exhibitions on green technology in China, where renewable energy is helping the country complete its economic transformation and achieve "energy security".
The event opened with a traditional Chinese dance ceremony that saw keynote speakers such as Mr. Shi Dinghuan, President of the China Society for Renewable Energy who affirmed his will to have China “spearhead the innovation of green science and technology”. With over 30000 visitors and 400 exhibitors, the majority being Chinese, the event showcases the hotbed of local Chinese talent, representing the country’s many provinces, powering the China’s ambition to become the world’s #1 green technology market. National champions, now spreading internationally, such as Yingli Solar and HenergySolar were notably present.
Recognizing the rich pool of Chinese green innovators, GreenTechFocus.com performed a number of “flash interviews” with local companies for an exclusive look into today’s Chinese green tech industry. Working to support the dialogue between China and international companies now turning to China as a green tech leader, these candid snapshots are online on GreenTechFocus.com, in the interview section.
Du Deli, CEO of DELI New Energy, an integrated application solution provider for low carbon technologies, echoes the prevailing sentiment of many Chinese companies: “Chinese green tech may lag behind technologically. But our strength is that we provide lower-cost and quality solutions that help to make green technology more easily accessible and to make an immediate impact on energy saving.”
For Amy Liang, head of Focus Communication’s Beijing office, ¨GreenTechFocus.com was very busy at CNEE collecting the views of Chinese industry leaders, whom we will be increasingly hearing about as China’s green tech industry grows. GreenTechFocus.com is an unprecedented launch pad for promotion of green tech between China and the West. Many Chinese firms are interested in cooperating with us to find the right Western partners for their operations, just as Western firms find their way into China through GreenTechFocus.com. ¨
